Once we have gotten to know you and your housing needs from our initial meeting, we can start the fun of the home search. We like to take clients out to do some exploring, during which you can look at various neighborhoods and learn about the different types and conditions of homes on the market. By the end of that tour, we will both have a good idea of what you are looking for in a home.
The internet is a powerful househunting resource, and clients have often been doing a lot of online exploring before we even meet. One of the first things we do when starting to work with a new buyer is to get them set up to receive listings via email. When we settle on neighborhoods and price range, we will first send you an email that contains every current listing on the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) that meets your criteria. After that, you will receive notification every day when new listings come on the market. Anytime you see anything that looks at all appealing, reach out and we can find out more information or arrange to go see it.
Some clients want to tour almost every home that looks appealing, and some would rather we tour them first to narrow down the options to the best ones. We work around your schedule and will do as much or as little advance legwork as you want. Regardless of how many homes you tour in person, we will accompany you and use our expertise to point out all of the positive and negative attributes of the home. The key in the fast-paced Seattle market is to see homes quickly as they hit the market, and the daily listing notifications ensure that we always have the latest information at our fingertips.
